| 1) What
does FAR infrared mean? |
| |
FAR
Infrared is a light wave in the electromagnetic
spectrum with a wavelength of 3 to 15 microns.
It is a light invisible to our eyes, and can
only be perceived by the sensation of heat that
it produces. This term refers to the infrared
emitted by Bioceramics. It can be measured using
an emission radiometer capable of detecting waves
greater than 3 micrometers. |
|
|
| 2) How does
Biostimulation affect the body physiologically? |
| |
Biostimulation
is an effect of light interacting with cells
capable of causing your metabolism to increase.
It acts on the cell membrane perviousness and
the mitochondria, thus yielding products such
as proteins (elastin, collagen), hormones (endorphins,
serotonins), etc.
For such a
synthesis to occur, regularization of the extra
cellular medium is necessary. Infrared stimulates
the release of nitric oxide and histamine, important
substances in vasodilatation, responsible for
draining and decreasing edema. It provides general
pain relief, free radical (toxins) elimination,
tissue repair acceleration (skin, bones, muscles),
reduction of edema, management of arthritis,
arthrosis, decrease of wrinkles (collagen and
elastin), improves microcirculation, etc |
|
|
| 3) What are
the effects on fat tissue? |
| |
There is no direct effect on fat
cells, because these only store nutrients. Radiation
stimulates the metabolism of all irradiated cells
to synthesize their products, but for this synthesis
to occur, ATP formation is required, and this
will require nutrients found within the fat stored,
which promotes body mass reduction. The reduction
of fat mass may be evidenced by bioimpedance. |
|
|
| 4) What are
the effects on the Skin? |
| |
Infrared
emitted by Bioceramics stimulates local circulation,
improving oxygenation and promoting drainage
of free radicals through sweat and urine, causing
regularization of the medium, correcting the
pH, attenuating premature aging and the formation
of wrinkles, in addition to stimulating collagen
and elastin by the cells of the epithelium. It
has anti-inflammatory effects, analgesic effects,
and healing effects. |
|
|
| 5) Are
there any studies in other application areas, other
than the use in aesthetics? |
| |
Infrared
has been very successfully applied in the medical,
physiotherapy, nursing, and physical education
areas |
|
|
| 6) Is there
a severe increase of body temperature when using
Invel products? |
| |
Temperature is not so important;
it just needs to be a little above body temperature
and its effects can already be perceived in the
biostimulation of tissues. High temperatures
only cause water loss and may cause electrolyte
loss with sodium, potassium, and calcium, which
could provoke cramping. |
|
|
| 7) Where
did Bioceramics come from? |
| |
Bioceramics was
originated in Asia from the armaments industry,
and it is composed of Alumina, Silica, magnesium
oxide, etc. It was used with the addition of
iron based compounds in dyes to paint missiles
and planes in order to avoid detection by radars,
because radar waves, upon colliding against walls,
came back in a diffused manner, making it impossible
to identify the object.
This ceramic was incorporated into hooded clothes
for the soldiers not to be detected at night by
the infrared devices. With its use, the soldiers
reported an improvement in pain and blood circulation.
This material started to be used in aesthetics,
showing major results in the health area, as if
they were mystical results, until research was
initiated on the interactions of the infrared light
with the cellular physiology. |

| 8) What are
the benefits of Bioceramics in the human body? |
| |
Bioceramics incorporated to tissues
may be used:
- In the
management of cellulite, in the reduction of
body mass by decreasing edema;
- In the management
of localized fat;
- In the reduction of wrinkles by stimulating
elastin and collagen;
- In the improvement of circulation;
- In the relief of pain and post-surgery management;
- In the management of adhesions and fibrosis.
|
|
|
| 9) Are any
restrictions to treatments with Bioceramics? |
| |
Since
it is a non ionizing radiation and has a low
intensity, it does not have any side effects,
and it can be used in patients with metal prosthesis,
with silicone, contact lenses, cardiac pacemakers,
coronary artery bypass grafts, etc…. |
|
|
| 10) How do
Invel's Anti-cellulite Shorts work? |
| |
The shorts have
the property of exerting a gentle compression
on the skin and take advantage of the body's
heat lost to the medium, stimulating the bioceramics
incorporated into the shorts' fabric, thus emitting
infrared with therapeutic properties, such as
improvement of circulation, reduction in body
mass, analgesic effects, anti-inflammatory effects,
collagen and elastin synthesis. |
|
|
| 11) What
kind of people are these shorts indicated for? |
| |
The shorts can be indicated for
anyone without any side effects, in the management
of cellulite, and joint and muscle pain.
They are also ideal for athletes and sports players,
because they accelerate the removal of lactic acid
accumulated in the muscles during physical activity,
reducing pain and muscle fatigue, thus improving
physical performance. |
|
|
| 12) Can women
of all ages wear the shorts? |
| |
The shorts can be used at any
age with no side effects.
They can also be used by women in the third age
as an aid in the treatment of arthritis, arthrosis,
rheumatisms, osteopenia, and osteoporosis. |
|
|
| 13) Should
the Anti-cellulite shorts be used with medical
recommendation? |
| |
There is no need for a medical
recommendation for their use, but they may often
be indicated by physicians to avoid post-surgery
and post-treatment relapses, and to potentiate
the use of medications. |
|
|
| 14) Is it
necessary to combine the use of the shorts with
physical exercise, balanced food,
and specific cosmetics against cellulite? |
| |
Cellulite has no cure, but it
is possible to sooth it, by avoiding smoking
and alcohol, by eating balanced food, and by
always practicing healthy physical activity. |
|
TOP |
| 15) Can
the shorts be used at any time? For example,
can a woman wear the shorts to work
or to the gym? |
| |
Yes, the shorts can be worn while
working out, because they facilitate the removal
of lactic acid built up during exercise, and
improve circulation by removing free radicals
and toxins stored in the hypodermis.
They are also light and flexible, and can be worn
underneath clothing without any inconvenience. |
|
|
16) If
I wanted to wear the Shorts through the entire
day, would there be a problem? |
| |
Cell metabolism can often come
off its plateau for several reasons, such as
the presence of edema, excess free radicals,
acidic pH, inactivity, etc. The infrared that
acts on the tissue promotes the regularization
of the extracellular medium, favoring the improvement
of cell nutrition, consequently increasing its
metabolism until a plateau is reached.
Changes in DNA can only happen with an ionizing
radiation and using an ultraviolet energy down
the electromagnetic spectrum. |
|
|
17) What is
Bioceramics and how does it act against cellulite? |
| |
Bioceramics is a fine ceramic
powder composed of alumina, silica, and magnesium
oxide with the property of absorbing the entire
spectrum of light, and emitting a narrow band
of infrared light with therapeutic properties.
It acts by stimulating enzymes that can control
inflammation and the pH of the region, favoring
cell division and protein synthesis, thus improving
the unpleasant appearance of the skin caused by
cellulite. |
|
|
18) Are there
any contraindications for the use of the shorts? |
| |
There are no contraindications,
and they have been approved by the Brazilian
National Health Surveillance Agency - ANVISA. |
|
|
19) When should
the shorts be replaced? |
| |
Bioceramics does not lose its
properties, even after several washes. They can
be used as long as the fabric lasts. |
